Well! It takes much longer to draw a dog than to draw a human. I think it has something to do with all that hair. But I must say, Roco is absolutely beautiful. I think it has something to do with the $10 Bristol paper, which is almost like canvas. I believe about five pencils went into this 14" x 18" image. There may be a little work left, just some finishing off here and there. Altogether, about nine hours.
I drew Roco just to see what it would be like to draw a dog, and I loved it. Next project is a kid and her cat.
