INTERMISSION . . .

According to Classical Drawing Atelier, A Contemporary Guide to Traditional Studio Practice, one should draw for a year (just black and white) to develop sufficient skill to move on to painting (also in black and white). That may apply to me. I tried to painted Melody in pastels, but clear as day the chalk dust said, "Abandon hope all ye who enter here". Back to the drawing board.

Aha! The non-artiste that I am did ponder why the colour timid true-artiste that you are would take on the myriad nuances of Melody's luxurious red gold sun kissed strands of beauty as a first colour project.

I have a grey cat with green eyes that you might consider as an initial foray into almost colour...or...If you are more in to humanoid projects, you could do me - the hair would be a no brainer..uh, white..the skin is pretty much white, and the eyes...well poop brown shouldn't be too tough?
